Why I Hate Interplay

On Heartless' request, here is the reason why I hate Interplay:

In 1999, Volition Inc released a game called FreeSpace 2 - you may have heard me harping on about it. It was published by Intercrap, and they proceeded to screw up the advertisements - ie, didn't tell people abuot it. As a result, FreeSpace 2 did not sell at all well, even though it is the greatest Space Combat game to date.

Interplay then thought that it was a flop, and told Volition not to make any more FreeSpace games. Then Volition was acquired by THQ, but Interplay kept the rights to FreeSpace. As a result, no FreeSpace 3 because Interplay won't release the rights to FreeSpace back to Volition.

INTERCRAP?? what are you talking about. They make great games like fallout 1 2 and tactics, Bulders gate series, Icewind dale and tons of other great games. Do you just hate interplay because of one freaking game!?

If Interplay screwed up the advertising, not letting people know about it, then saying it was a flop but stay holding on to the rights, then I think I have a reason to hate them. :mad:

If you've never played FreeSpace 2, you wouldn't know why I love it so much. I love it more than RE.

BFRed - Big F***ing Red (Red, of course!!)
LRBGreen - Long Range Beam Green (Green, as if you didn't know!!)

Im going to say I have never heard of Freespace before I came to this forum. But to the games mentioned by Bio_moon none of them seem to be great games so im going with Silence Glaive and say Interplay are wankers due to what they did to Silence Glaives best game and also i agree there controllers are crap :)

I exctually looked for freespace games at my local EB and couldnt find it, when I asked if they had it they said no

If you said that on the VBB Ice, you would have been smacked, shafted and fried on the VBBQ. FreeSpace 3 is the biggest taboo I know of.

Skies of Arcadia 2
Soul Calibur 2
Rogue Leader

Soul calibur was one of the best fighting games I have played- plus the adventure mode was a briliant feature.
Rogue Spear looks amazing with the graphics and should test the Gamecubes power
Skies of Arcadia I dont know anything about :)
Ill definity buy the above 2 games

SoA was an RPG which did something new - ship vs ship battles.

That rocks!!!!

Plus it's one of the funniest games I've ever played! :D:D
